From new celebrity chef concepts from the likes of Masa Takayama and April Bloomfield to hotly anticipated food halls and a handful of Japanese imports, summer 2017 is bringing along a whole slew of new restaurants to look forward to this season.

Popular Miami restaurant SUGARCANE will debut in the recently renovated 150-year-old Empire Stores building in Brooklyn. Award-winning executive chef and partner Timon Balloo will offer the same globally inspired small plates menu as the original with dishes served from three kitchen concepts, an open-fire grill, raw bar and traditional kitchen. The waterfront spot will feature a spacious outdoor patio with views of the East River and downtown Manhattan.
